Hey there,
You’re here, which already tells me something important: you’re paying attention to the upcoming Democratic Hays County Judge Runoff on May 26th.
This is a space for people who are tired of the spin, allergic to vague talking points, and ready for receipts leading up to it.
This isn’t a blog about “both sides.”
It’s not a place for recycled press releases or carefully worded nothing-statements.
What I’m doing here is simple:
I’m taking claims by the Becerra Campaign and everything I can find about the Hays County Commissioners Court — the meetings, the votes, the filings, the stuff most people don’t have time to dig through — and breaking it down into what actually happened.
Not what he said happened.
Not what his campaign claims happened.
What’s documented. What’s on the record. What you can verify.
Because here’s the thing:
Local politics is where the real decisions get made — and it’s also where misinformation is the easiest to get away with, which is what Becerra’s entire campaign strategy seems to stem from— and that pisses me off.
Purposely misinforming constituents only works if no one’s paying attention.
So I am paying attention.
And now you are too.
You can expect:
Clear breakdowns of actual decisions (minus the bureaucratic fog)
Side-by-side “claim vs. reality” receipts
Context that actually helps you understand what’s at stake
A little sharp humor, because honestly… how else do we survive this?
Thanks for being here.
Let’s keep it honest.
